Queensland will soon have a new benchmark for business excellence with the launch of the inaugural Queensland Business Index.

Proudly presented by InQueensland, the state’s new source of quality, independent public interest journalism published daily to an influential, growing audience, the Queensland Business Index will identify and celebrate the 100 leading companies across the state.

Supported by The Local Government Association of Australia, Gadens Lawyers, Griffith University Business School and The Committee for Brisbane, QBI will independently rank the state’s top 100 companies, based on market capitalisation and a range of additional benchmarks.

Queensland’s dynamic and diverse business community is supporting and stimulating the Queensland economy, which has emerged strongly from the effects of COVID-19. There has never been a more vital time for businesses to keep up with the latest activities and opportunities, making the Queensland Business Index a critically important source of information and insights.

InQueensland, through its daily, comprehensive coverage of Queensland business, featuring business writer John McCarthy and columnist Robert MacDonald, regular features and in-depth business reporting, has significantly increased the focus and quality of business reporting across the State.

In addition,  its regular Business Insight newsletters, plus partnerships with Brisbane’s Economic Development Agency and leading professional services firms,  has further underpinned InQueensland’s coverage of the latest trends and innovations.
