Lameroo crowned 2025
Agricultural town of the year

Home to just under 900 people, Lameroo is leading the way in sustainable farming, innovation and agricultural education. The town is making the most of its location and opportunities, using its surrounds to strengthen both local industry and community life.

“Lameroo is a special place to live, work and raise kids. It’s a safe, supportive town where people look out for each other and get on with what needs doing. 

Being recognised through the Agricultural Town of the Year Award means a lot to us. We don’t do this work for awards, we do it because it needs to be done to keep our town thriving. 

But having that effort acknowledged is something really special, and I’m so proud of our community for this achievement.”
