A new home for the arts in SA

Beginning in February 2021, South Australia will have a new home for arts journalism, with the launch of Solstice Media’s InReview.

InReview will be a new site under the banner of InDaily devoted to arts reviews, news, features and commentary, written by South Australia’s most experienced and credible arts journalists and critics. New content will be published daily, with a free weekly newsletter distributed to our database of subscribers. InReview content will also appear in our print products, CityMag and SALIFE.

With South Australia’s arts calendar growing and getting more exciting each year, we believe it deserves the best, most comprehensive and credible coverage. InReview will provide that, filling a growing void in SA journalism.

InDaily

InDaily has reinforced its position in Nielsen’s Digital Content Ratings, now consistently ranked at #24 nationally in the Current Events & Global news category, averaging a monthly Unique Audience of 552,000 for the July-September quarter.

Solstice Media has signed up for Symphony and Adslot Media, platforms designed to deliver greater workflow efficiency and effectiveness to the digital media market, making it even easier to book digital campaigns with us.

CityMag

October saw the return of the much-missed print version of CityMag, with an upbeat ‘green shoots’ edition, featuring the businesses and consumers who kept the city’s metabolism moving throughout our recent COVID-induced hibernation. It also celebrated this year’s 40 Under 40 finalists and winners, profiling the emerging leaders of SA’s business community and highlighting their new ideas and energy.

CityMag’s 2021 Festivals Edition will help you navigate the breadth of local talent – in comedy, theatre, music, visual art and more – and how to use this time of year to support Adelaide’s most under-rated arts venues and organisations. We’ll also have previews of the major shows travelling into Adelaide from further afield, with interviews offering insight into the minds of creators and will hit the streets on February 18.

SALIFE

With themed titles running throughout the year, SALIFE further cemented itself as the leading go to publication for parochial South Australians who love where they live and are engaged in their local communities.

SALIFE launched a new Premium Property platform, reaching a broad, qualified audience looking for quality properties, investments and new developments. The site features detailed property listings, a digital newsletter and expert social media amplification, giving advertisers the opportunity to promote their listings across the InDaily and SALIFE audience.

Complementing our increasingly popular prestige property coverage across our print and digital products, Premium Property connects vendors, agents and the reader to the best properties on the market, while also bringing to life relevant real estate stories.

SALIFE also launched a new-look Weddings Gallery providing a more engaging reader experience.

Lockdowns shifted many readers focus to their garden, popularity of gardening this year saw the SALIFE Gardens and Outdoor Living Magazine fly off the shelves across nurseries statewide. Printed seasonally this title has been inspiring gardeners for over 10 years.

Covid threw the SALIFE Food and Wine title into a spin earlier in the year. The decision was made to move the launch date from April to November resulting in one of the largest publications we have released. With such a captured focus on intrastate travel SALIFE Food and Wine has proven to be incredibly popular.

SALIFE Homes and Interiors launched at the HIA Gala awards dinner November 7 to over 1000 guests. Showcasing the very best in interior design and residential home in South Australia this magazine contains the most valuable information every renovator, decorator or new builder is seeking.

Events

It’s been a busy period for our events program, honouring SA’s top businesspeople at InDaily’s annual 40 Under 40 Awards, highlighting the innovation, commitment and diversity of the State’s young leaders. We also counted down SA’s top 100 companies in InDaily’s South Australian Business Index program, providing detailed insight and analysis of the local economy.

The ‘Parafield Cluster’ caused the delay of our annual Regional Showcase event, celebrating the achievements of individuals, groups and SA businesses that have made significant contributions to regional SA. The Regional Showcase event is now scheduled for February 26.

Welcome to the team – Annabel

And finally – please welcome our newest team member, Annabel Borchardt.

She has been appointed to head up our events program and comes to the role after three years as trade and events manager in the London Office of the Agent General of SA.

In the UK, she supported the Agent General’s work to promote SA businesses and identify opportunities in the UK and the EU for those companies. She ran the office’s events, including the South Australian Club – a unique venture aimed at connecting people and businesses interested in what the state has to offer. Prior to this, she worked for Brand SA and consulting firm Ernst & Young managing the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program.
